Review on Packstar by Brian Kingsford

Packstar is a very user friendly system. Our store staff have had to do very little training to get started. The system is very simple to use and the customer service is excellent. It would be nice to have the ability to have the system use a mobile phone as the scanner, but that would be a small price to pay for the other benefits. The system is very easy to use and has the ability to track all produce from the time it is picked to the time it is transported to the store. It does a great job of keeping track of the time and date of each transaction. It also is able to track the location of the transactions. I like that there is an easy way to track your products through their whole life cycle - from field till shelf in my local supermarket! There are some fields which could use improvement/addition (e g more options regarding sorting) but overall it works perfectly fine so far. Tracking of product movements makes me feel comfortable knowing what happens after leaving warehouse until reaching customer's home plateastock information helps us manage risk related issues such as expiration dates etc.
