Review on Standard Motor Products ALS66 Sensor by Matt Kucrud

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great as a replacement for OEM

For several months the ABS light and brake light came on with every start. Buddy tested it on his reader which gives the ABS codes and returned by replacing the driver's side front wheel sensor. Warning, removing the old one is a huge pain in the butt. All good intentions started with trying to be graceful and elegant. I ended up with each pair of sledgehammer sized vise grips strewn around me on the hub. You have to break it to get it. I then used a Dremel sanding drum to clean the hole of rust and corrosion before you could easily put a new one in. BTW I had to remove the wheel and caliper mount to access the bit. it's from. The sensor tip that interacts with the hub gear didn't look exactly like the one I replaced on my 2001 Dodge 3/4T Ram 2WD Diesel, but it fits and works perfectly. Left next morning on a 1000 mile motor home train with truck, now 2 months and 1500+ miles with no problems.
