this is a good device, very practical and the stones are genuine, not restored in any way and the wooden holder looks good on the plastic. You can get a razor sharp edge with this, you don't have to put in nearly as much effort as with other products, just remember it's a good idea to apply your stones (Arkansas only) about 3 or 4 medium thin brush with oil for about three days, letting stand in between to prepare them for use, so they float on the very fine metal shavings. You won't regret buying them once you have them, and you'll enjoy using them and getting the sharpness you can get even if you're not a true hand sharpening expert, because there's an old saying, practice makes perfect Master. :)
