Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Efficient Wire Stripping Made Easy with KNIPEX Tools Automatic Stripper, 10-24 AWG (1262180) by Rafael Lee

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Don't bother with these people, after the exchange I received a newer model. (1262180SB)

I rarely use refills and when I do it just doesn't work as advertised. not so good. Some will be exposed, but most of the wire will not be completely stripped leaving damaged wire. I use this to set up my network; I'm trying to wire my house but it seems to be more of a hassle than fixing it rather than stripping the wires. The photo clearly shows how this is done. I had to strip the wire multiple times before it even cut them. You can see this by the white wire with the green stripe, which I've tried several times with no result. I stripped the other wires with a knife, twisted and twisted, trying to get it to work. It's too much work. I have contacted Knipex for a repair/replacement but you have to send them your broken tool and they will "evaluate" it to make sure it really meets their needs. Insured shipping is almost half the cost of these defective pullers and you CAN get new ones back or they will send you defective ones. Yes, they lost my customer loyalty with that. I don't think I will buy them anymore. The self-adjusting Capri tool was only $14 and works better. It cuts every wire in one go. Final thought: DO NOT buy this one; There are many cheaper alternatives with better guarantees. newer (1262180SB) model. It works much better. Do not buy this model, buy the model (1262180SB) instead. This new model features a pressure adjustment slider that allows you to apply more force to cut thin Category 5/6 wires weighing 23-24g.
