I was given a pair of sunglasses in Vietnam in 1968. I remember the name of the glasses but never paid much attention to it. After a year of service, I returned home with the same glasses and wore them for many years. Like your favorite slippers, glasses have become a part of me. But unfortunately the glasses got old over time, dimpled glass lenses and the fit was no longer the same. RIP American Optical and I went with different brands All good glasses but something was missing, this old shoe dropped from American Optical. This year for Father's Day my loving wife found her at Revain's and I was reunited with my best friend. American Optical's quality and clarity is the best in my opinion.
