Review on Enhance Your Ride with the Monroe 90012 Electronic to Passive Suspension Conversion Kit by Chris Long

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is a great solution to my 2004 model year's dirty active suspension.

This is a great solution to my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali's dirty active suspension. The only issue I have and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the box was missing a front. upper damper. In any event, I chose to use OEM replacement parts in this position as they are more substantial and based on my experience on other vehicles the stock isolators supplied by Monroe do NOT last very long. As others have pointed out, make sure you inflate the rear shocks to some degree before putting the car's weight on them. If you don't, you risk damaging the Beats. This is described in the Monroe owner's manual. Read and note! Also, do yourself a favor and buy a Monroe AK29 air hose kit to have a Schrader valve to adjust the air pressure. This adjustment normalizes the pressure between the two rear shocks and mitigates (but doesn't eliminate!) some of the handling characteristics that others have noticed.
