This product works great. I had an "Air Ride " system on.

This product works great. I had the "Air Ride" system on a 2002 GMC Yukon. The compressor was shot. Replacements cost at least $400, and one of the shocks was defective and costs about the same. I relocated the air line fill nozzle to the gas cap. I bought an airline accessory kit and all went well. No leaks and a better ride.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Bad quality didn't turn off dashboard alert

First of all these shock absorbers are not Monroe. This is an inferior shock from another brand and is in no way worth the money in this kit. You can buy these shock absorbers for less than $15. Bushings, washers and nuts are also cheap and not durable. Also, I followed the instructions line by line (they were very vague and general for all cars, not the GMC this kit is sold for. I even checked the website to make sure I had the resistors set correctly , and I still had a warning on the…

2002 Chevy Suburban 4wd LT with Autoride - Nice kit

I installed this kit on my 2001 Chevy Suburban 4wd LT with Autoride with 210,000 miles. The kit was installed with Moog's 81071 coil spring kit and now drives like a truck. Installation was easy and took about 4.5 hours and I didn't get any suspend codes after installation. I haven't had the opportunity to drag with the setup so I'm currently unaware of the sag under load. I also ordered and received a Dorman 949-000 suspension compressor but it was not installed due to time/weather. I know…

This is a great solution to my 2004 model year's dirty active suspension.

This is a great solution to my 2004 GMC Yukon Denali's dirty active suspension. The only issue I have and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the box was missing a front. upper damper. In any event, I chose to use OEM replacement parts in this position as they are more substantial and based on my experience on other vehicles the stock isolators supplied by Monroe do NOT last very long. As others have pointed out, make sure you inflate the rear shocks to some degree before putting the…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Installed on my 2005 Yukon AWD. The cost of replacing a factory or shop was unrealistic. My air compressor was also in bad shape, so I bought separate ducts for the rear shocks. Was in no hurry to install, did front than rear. The resistors were easy to install, the shrink wrap provided was too short to fit everything so spend a few 5 cents and get a good shrink. After you have shrunk the resistor and wires you will need to tape them as the heat shrink tubing will not seal the wire due to the…

Numerous issues with heavy shocks and suspension parts

I bought these because the price was much lower than other alternatives and they are made by a brand I know. The first thing to know is that you will have to cut off your original connectors, which makes going back to the original configuration almost impossible. The front shock bushings and washers, both top and bottom, are undersized and need to be replaced with Dorman parts. I think they will fail quickly and be unsafe unless these bushings are replaced with bushings of the correct size and…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection

This is a very good solution to the autoride problem and MUCH cheaper than factory parts (my shop has quoted the repair and replacement at $2800). Easy do-it-yourself installation of course (I have a 2001 Suburban so a 3 ton jack and heavy jacks helped). Installation took about an hour. Be sure to inflate slightly BEFORE lowering the vehicle to the ground as the rubber bladders will roll on their own and become trapped in the shock absorber, which can damage the bladder. It is very important. I

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
