Love these scrubbers. I bought these because the lint on typical cleaning sponges comes off once they wear out and goes down the drain causing problems with the plumbing and we were looking to move to a new house and switch from a city sewer to a septic tank. and I didn't. I don't want to create any more problems. I also liked the idea of a 300 wash/3 year guarantee which meant they would have paid for themselves as I didn't have to buy regular sponges often. Pros: They clean very well and are gentle on the skin - they're not rough on your hands at all! We use them on cookware, pots and pans (watch out for aluminium, non-stick and cast iron!) and even on the countertops and sinks themselves. They smell a little after a few uses before washing, but not as much as regular sponges. You REALLY need to take care of them and give them a really good rinse after each use - kitchen sink sprayers are great for this. Cons: Doesn't clean grease very well without detergent as advertised, and dried foods and knives are particularly rough with fibers - I've only been using mine for 6 months and they're already pitted. Also, after several washes (just detergent, no additives) they just stopped washing and look dirty like the lube won't come out, and through the holes you can see that the foam turned a rough brown color even after washing .
