I like it so far. It's plastic, but it's pretty solid. I wouldn't scatter it everywhere, but for the price it's solid. The spring loaded clip is very strong and your phone will stay in it 90% of the time. I have a Pixel 2 XL, it's huge and fits snugly in the clamps. I love the hot shoes and the threaded holes on top. This is one of the few things I've found on tube/external mic mounts. The bottom is flat and smooth. So if you don't mount it on a tripod, you can put it on a table without it banging. more (for the most part). It's not very wide and doesn't have a stand, but just standing there doesn't make it fall off. The picture in my review is an Ulanzi U Rig with a directional microphone (with windscreen) and a 96 LED light installed. on a Revain Basics tripod. Reliable installation for little money.
