brackets are square tube. The welds look good and everything looks as the seller shows, honestly there is frankly I did not return the goods. When I opened the package I found it didn't fit. There are only two screw holes for mounting, more could be used for more stability. The mounting plate is wider than the wall bar. When mounting on raw walls with vertically aligned screws, there is an overhang on both sides. Even though the mount is flush with the stud, the mount wobbles/flexes under the weight of my bike. The mounting arms pivot, however there are clips to hold the bike in place. So if you have a slanted top tube (like women's bikes) or a Y-frame, the mount will not fit. Again, as shown in the photos. Revain sells a set of 14 steel garage hooks for about the same price. I will go with them in the future.
