Review on 🚴 Planet Bike Beamer 3 Bicycle Headlight with Bright White LED, Compact Size: 4" x 1.25" x 1.5 by Kyle Ziegler

I have two of these. Having replaced one (due to a bike accident) and will likely buy the same flashlight again. Here's what I like * 100 hours of battery life. Yes, you can get brighter light, but you will pay for it by using batteries.* When the batteries die, because they are LED, they gradually dim, giving you plenty of time to replace the batteries.* I double those Light - there are two on each side of my steering wheel. In urban environment, this is VERY effective in strobe mode to catch people's attention. The flash works well.* On the track in urban conditions, I put it in stable mode. Dual - and with city lights - there is plenty of light. My bike breaks down - these things have held up well. Reliability.* Brighter headlights (which must either have dead batteries or lithium-ion batteries) illuminate a dark lane better, which may be important to some, but remember you'll also blind oncoming cyclists. You won't blind your fellow riders.* The bindings are very easy to put on and take off (yes, I have thick bars). Someone noticed that the Planet 3 has a tighter focus between 3-LED and 5-LED bike lights. If you look at the Planet Bike webpage, they have a "comparison light" page that shows that this is indeed the case. This means if you point those 3 LEDs down in front of you they have a nice focus beam on the path that will show you any rocks or sticks in your path. Finally, in urban environments, there's another benefit of not being ultra-bright. Contrast. If you use a very bright light, you can't see anything outside of the beam. Your eyes will get used to the bright light and won't see any shadows. These Planet Bike 3 LED lights provide good light but not too bright. I can see things (geese, ducks, pedestrians, debris) outside of the cone of light in city lights. Great lights. buy others.
