Use an air mass flow deflector. Or you'll get a check engine light for a lean condition.

I mounted the heat shield first. There are no problems closing the hood. I installed a tube with a deflector on the air mass meter. The check engine light does not light up. Good bottom end and high torque. The fuel consumption stayed the same. The truck weighs approximately 7,500 pounds and has a 7.5 stroke. The only reason for 4.5 stars are the cheap China clamps. Don't worry, I work at a Cat dealer. We have good brackets.
