I use 80x in middle and high school

somewhat difficult for younger children. I use 20-40x scopes on them. The higher the power, the smaller the field of view and the more patience it takes to focus. This scope cannot be easily changed from 20-40x to 40-80x. You need to take out some very small screws to replace the eyepiece lenses. (This is not something you want the students to do all the time as the screws will most likely get lost in the process). for 40-80s. If you do a lot of multi-student work and want to offer higher magnification, you might want to do what I did and have a couple of 40-80x scopes. Having said that, I have to say that for most things a 20-40x magnification is enough for students. You really see a lot in the 40s! So if you just want a good basic range for instructional use, save your money and just get a scope with 20-40x magnification. One of the features of this scope is rechargeable batteries. But you can also use normal batteries. My other scopes only use AA and last a long time. I like it when they are wireless. I also like cool LED lights. The lights on my old interchangeable scopes got dangerously hot. These LEDs are very safe. dedicated 40-80x.
