Cuisinart FP-8SV Elemental 8 Cup Food Processor Silver

First of all I want to say that I'm a big fan of Cuisinart products. They are always well made, easy to use and last forever. I am an experienced cook/baker in the kitchen. I have a stash of cooking and baking supplies. I thought I would downsize my larger food processor that I have had for years. (maybe 10 years or less). This model was easy to assemble, the touchpad was visible and very easy to use. Following the instructions, this model was difficult to assemble. Parts seem forced. I don't understand why on this model (in assembled, fixed and working condition) the handle is above the touchpad. The touchpad is a bit awkward to use. With the old model, the bowl was locked in place, the handle pushed to the side, the blade locked in place, the lid closed and you were good to go. On this model, the blade felt weak once in place. As I continued assembly, I almost had to force the bowl to snap it into place. I read the instructions and repeated the steps several times, assuming something was wrong and I was assembling it incorrectly. I was not. Because of these issues, and to save me the hassle of lugging this unit to UPS to ship it back, I will be giving it to a family member who has more patience and doesn't cook/bake as often as I do. I have no tolerance for complicated things that should be easy like setting up a food processor. I don't have to be a fight or anything difficult, but it is. I wish Cuisinart still made my old food processor. It was perfect, it had a very simple setup and was easy to use.
