Restored! Not new!

I received a used, refurbished item. This is not a new item. There was food left at the base and the car had an order. The paint on the base is peeling off, the control knobs are worn. I have returned the item. upset. The description said it was new when purchased, now both are no longer in the description.

  • Durable finish

This is perfect for my home use

This is perfect for my home use. Forget all the comments about breaking the lid, if you use common sense and read the instructions it won't break. But if you press it it will break, just make sure the bottom is securely latched and locked into the latch hole. The top then easily snaps into place.

  • Price
Cons
  • Not trendy

I loved Cuisinart which I had 20 years ago.

The food processor broke down a few weeks after purchase. The lid wouldn't close and a piece of plastic broke off, the blades couldn't even blend the chickpeas. Unfortunately, I printed out the return slip and did not send it off in time. I have taken out insurance for this item but do not know how to contact them. I really liked the Cuisinart I had 20 years ago and was very very disappointed.

Beware of this product

I am very disappointed in this food processor. Immediately after multiple uses, the plastic broke when trying to just close the lid. Made from very cheap plastic. After a few months the blade began to slip and stop. Sometimes it doesn't even start. Good luck contacting support. Emails are not answered. I would like to return it immediately. Missed the return deadline and ended up with a piece of non-working junk.

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Something else

DO NOT wash in the dishwasher!

There is an ad ahead. Detachable parts are NOT dishwasher safe - in fact, when I ran the detachable parts in the dishwasher for the first time, the center tube deformed. Not much, I could still put the blade on it, but just enough to form a distinct oval. I would have returned this item if someone in my family wasn't so excited about a new stand mixer that they threw away the box it came in. Since the device is still usable, I decided to keep it for myself. and always hand wash parts until I…

Cuisinart FP-8SV Elemental 8 Cup Food Processor Silver

First of all I want to say that I'm a big fan of Cuisinart products. They are always well made, easy to use and last forever. I am an experienced cook/baker in the kitchen. I have a stash of cooking and baking supplies. I thought I would downsize my larger food processor that I have had for years. (maybe 10 years or less). This model was easy to assemble, the touchpad was visible and very easy to use. Following the instructions, this model was difficult to assemble. Parts seem forced. I don't…
