I was very excited to use this on a summer vacation, third (3rd!) toss in and the rope this comes with came apart from the carabiner and the magnet literally just fell off into the depths (it’s all included- it’s meant for the magnet- a rope, and at one end is a carabiner you attach to the magnet). It was extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t have thought the provided rope would just fall to pieces- it’s meant to be used with this huge magnet! We took great care to ensure the magnet was attached to the carabiner and it was devastating to see it plop into the water and be left looking at the loose end of the rope. I would never have thought to question how the carabiner was attached to the rope, it wasn’t something the purchaser needed to assemble. I want to reiterate this was the third toss in- we’d found nothing and the rope wasn’t broken trying to pull something up- this was literally watching the magnet go loose mid air as it fell away from the rope when we tossed it.
