This set of media converters works great and offers full duplex communication over a single fibre. But be sure to check with the manufacturer for the correct fiber type because what AMAZON is showing in this ad under the product category (often bought together) is the wrong cable and will not work! The correct fiber type for these adapters is SC/UPC-SC, which connectors have blue ends. Again, the ones shown by AMAZON will NOT work. Switch mode power supplies provide adequate isolation from earth, and fiber optics provide a path through which the electrical surge cannot travel.
