After manually researching how to get the remote to work with my DVR - since it didn't come with any complicated instructions - and getting online help from the Dish Network geek, I was able to get the remote and DVR recognize each other. After that initial headache, the remote worked flawlessly. It's fast and full of options for the user. I would order this item again.
