The product didn't work. good for code readers and scanners

The item did not work. I was willing to make a return hoping I would receive an error but I was issued a refund. I work in IT so I know the cable that doesn't work with USB3 and doesn't install drivers. Was hoping it would work like the "more expensive" cable but not very well. I'm not sure what's wrong with the cable, but COM and USB show up in Device Manager but don't connect to Forscan or other OBDII tools. All sorts of COM settings configured, but nada. I've spent more time than I should have trying to make it work. it shouldn't be that hard anyway.
