The product didn't work. good for code readers and scanners

The item did not work. I was willing to make a return hoping I would receive an error but I was issued a refund. I work in IT so I know the cable that doesn't work with USB3 and doesn't install drivers. Was hoping it would work like the "more expensive" cable but not very well. I'm not sure what's wrong with the cable, but COM and USB show up in Device Manager but don't connect to Forscan or other OBDII tools. All sorts of COM settings configured, but nada. I've spent more time than I should…

Pros
  • Get access to 100% Ford ECUs and access more features than an Authorized Ford Dealer. Supports all Ford protocols, modules and advanced functions FORScan
Cons
  • Some small things

Perfect fit for FORScan

Got this to run Forscan on my 2019 F150 XLT. It connected to my laptop and installed all the drivers with no problems. This adapter does not have the high/low speed switch found on cheaper adapters. This cable works much better than the ones with the switch so you have to switch back and forth all the time. This cable is switched automatically which is very helpful as there is less chance of doing something wrong which will cause big problems in the future. It is fully automated, which greatly…

Works great - for almost half the price of competitor

I was looking for an electronically switched (vs hand switch version) OBD2 cable for a newer Ford vehicle model (for use with FORscan software). FORscan offers a specific brand that you can find on Revain that has many good reviews. Then I noticed this product; which appear to have the same exact specs, at a lower price but with no user reviews. I'm happy to report that it works great with all protocols and connection speeds. An information leaflet is included with the product; Company listing…
