The hardest job I've ever done

My 2006 Honda Civic had trouble starting for about a year. It would sound weak and sometimes require a jump. One fine day everything ended, nothing began anymore. All other factors such as battery or alternator are excluded. I'm pretty handy and have access to tools and such. I did some research on how to replace this part. I used 3 different YouTube videos. I won't lie, this was the hardest work/task I've ever done. The starter is in a terrible place. I removed the wheel on the passenger side. I didn't have to install an elevator or dismantle shafts. If you don't have experience and hands, don't do it yourself. If you do, pay attention to safety. Place the tire under the side of the frame along with the 4 ton jacks. Raise the frame as far as possible. Every step from removing the old one to installing the new one is complicated. Do it step by step. The hardest part for me was finally snapping the new one in properly. It was like a miracle when he decided to snap. Then putting that top screw in was crazy. Get some quotes from some local mechanics first. If you can get a deal for 150 for the job, it's worth it. When everything was finished and started, I cried with joy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are downsides
