I really wanted to like this thing but it doesn't work. It's sharp, safe, and has a protective sheath, but the blade still stings my fingers as I prepare to use it. Vegetables get stuck under the blade (and if I pull them out I get stung again). When I'm done with the carrots, I curse and my hands are bleeding from multiple wounds. Cut very thin julienne. This works well with carrots and radishes, but not so well with potatoes or turnips (or anything round where you have to hold the veggies in your hand while peeling).
