Feels good in the hand, but hurts a bit.

It is well made, feels good in the hand, but awkward to use. I've used it on carrots and you won't end up slicing most carrots. It works best in the middle where it's biggest, but once you've cut about 2/3 of it you can put it aside, eat, and get a new carrot. I see it as a kitchen novelty, not a must.

Makes the best zucchini noodles!

I've tried several zucchini noodle spiralizers and most take too many veggies or won't peel or are just annoying. This one is simple, makes the most delicious "noodles" and is easy to clean. If you don't want small bits stuck between the blades, use a small bottle brush. Bought at the request of my mother-in-law! She used mine and loved them (she hated the ones she had).

Not as good as the old model.

I've been using one of these for years and I'm very satisfied. I wanted to put a new one in the camp kitchen. Although the blade cuts easily and evenly, I don't like the new shorter, flatter and wider handle. I have small hands. It's harder to understand. My little finger is hanging at the very end of the handle. The flatter, wider grip doesn't feel as ergonomic and comfortable as the older model. I will use it, but I will look for new old stock. Hope they revise it.

Great for my pasta alternative

This works fine. I used it for zucchini as an alternative to pasta. At first I thought I was just slicing the zucchini, but then I separated the "noodles" with a fork and it actually worked without much effort. I was afraid to touch my fingers going this far, but I'm sure something like this will be the same. The price is right, the product works great and I like the pen because it's easy to hold. I recommend this product.

  • Absolutely amazing!

This is a death trap! suitable for kitchen and dining room

I think it technically does what it's supposed to do and cuts vegetables into thin strips, but it does the same thing with your fingers. The blade is razor sharp, making it very difficult to cut through a slippery, wet vegetable without injuring yourself. Unless you figure out how to cut vegetables without actually holding them in your hands. I've used it twice and both times I've cut my fingers a few times and I'm good with a kitchen knife. I just broke down and instead spent $20 on a cheap…

Easy to use, cuts nice strips

Very easy to use and cuts very nice strips. I was hoping for thicker strips (for matcha carrots) but they're really good. I wasn't planning on using it for zucchini, but it makes great pasta (and you can easily skip the middle of the zucchini, which doesn't make great pasta). The best I've gotten from the Spiralizer. In fact, it makes pimples so wonderful that I gave away my spiralizer. Some reviews have mentioned that they hurt with the sharp edge, but I've used them a lot in the weeks since I

Not Impressed: Kitchen Appliances and Gadgets

I really wanted to like this thing but it doesn't work. It's sharp, safe, and has a protective sheath, but the blade still stings my fingers as I prepare to use it. Vegetables get stuck under the blade (and if I pull them out I get stung again). When I'm done with the carrots, I curse and my hands are bleeding from multiple wounds. Cut very thin julienne. This works well with carrots and radishes, but not so well with potatoes or turnips (or anything round where you have to hold the veggies in…

  • Looking forward to it

Perfect julienne size and nice and sharp blades

Excellent product. Much better than pulling out my mandolin for small jobs. (What a pain to peel!) Sometimes I just want to julienne a carrot or radish to add some crunch to a salad, and it's almost perfect. The only downside is that it's difficult (and dangerous) to use smaller veggies if you're holding the veg in your hand while peeling. Especially at the end of the curve, you should try to pull down and forcefully towards your hand, otherwise you will glue the strips to the edge.

  • Positive only
Cons

Works perfectly! Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

It takes a little practice to understand that different vegetables require different pressures for this Oxo Julienne Slicer to work at its best, but other than that it works like magic. Of course, my Cuisinart stand mixer will also julienne, as will my oversized Saladmaster manual stand mixer, but when you're cooking for two, who wants to fiddle with one of these appliances when this appliance is so much quicker to set up (no) and quicker and easier too to clean (running water)? I almost didn't
