Review on 🐈 Enhance Your Cat's Flap with Cat Mate Wall Liners (234 & 235) for Ultimate Convenience by Destiny Gvozdeva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

it's just not pretty. in cat doors, railings and steps

In my zoo (two dogs, five cats) we had to make sure the cats were kept in the basement on days when I couldn't come home for dinner, So we could leave the dog door open for dogs. We would like it to be open all the time, except that one of our cats can jump over a 2 meter high fence. We decided to put a cat door on the inside wall next to the basement door so they could go back and forth if they wanted (we took the cat litter and food down to the basement), but we could "lock them up" when we did went out all day. I ordered a Cat Mate 4-Way Lock Hinge with White Door Insert (Model 235W) and one of these wall inserts. The wall is your 2x4 medium wall and should fit; However, for some odd reason that escapes me, the building used 5/8" drywall instead of the usual 1/2" boards that are the industry standard today. If they used 1/2 inch the balaclava would barely fit and I could get through. And so I could fake something for the jury, but I wanted it to look professional (I can make things functional, just ugly). .ask my wife about my insane drawing skills). Anyway if you plan on using this on an interior wall you should order two to be safe and if you don't need the second one you can always return it. We plan to put another one upstairs in the master bedroom. When she and I first moved in together, I "introduced the law" and banned dogs from lying on the bed. This allows the cats to keep coming back. You know, I think that was the last time I could ever legislate.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Functionality
