I've only used it once so far but I absolutely love it. The suction power is amazing. In fact, I had to raise the vacuum's nozzle higher than I thought it would in order for the nozzle to move easily over flatweave carpets. I don't have plush carpets, but smooth, large room carpets. Once I did that, the suction removed all of the ragdoll's cat hair and more. The transition to my tile floors was easy. I just had to turn off the brush switch. What I really liked was that I could vacuum completely under my coffee table, sofas and chairs. Being able to install a vacuum attachment under those low spots was something I couldn't do for years without stopping and adding accessories to my rack. With this vacuum cleaner everything became smooth and the cat hair was gone. I look forward to using it on my couch to suck out all the cat hair. That hasn't happened yet. I noticed this when vacuuming under kitchen cabinets. that it doesn't suck around the edges as well as my old Kenmore rack, but with all the other goodies that's negligible. The weight of the vacuum cleaner is ok. I wouldn't call it "lightweight" but then again I wasn't expecting a lightweight vacuum cleaner either. I want it to suck like a demon and for that the motor has to work and last a long time. In this case, I expect the Miele motor to be made of heavy metal parts.
