Review on Reliance Controls THP205 Sump Pump Alarm: Flood Alert, 9V Battery, 6 Ft Wire Sensor, 105 Db, White by Frank Webster

I bought this Reliance THP205 for a drain pump alarm. That does not work. I put a sensor in the swamp well so it can tell if the water in the well is rising. The alarm went off for no reason. There was no water on the sensor at all. So I removed the sensor, dried it with a paper towel and put it back in the slot. A few days later it started again for no reason. I removed this alarm as it doesn't work in a drain pump. I think the high humidity in the well is triggering an alarm. Moisture should wet the sensor and trigger the alarm. What's the use of this alarm if it keeps going off in the well when there's no water on it. I removed the alarm because it doesn't work in a humid environment. I used it to signal a drain in the basement. It works well when the sensor is simply placed in the basement where there shouldn't be much moisture around it. Result. Do not use this for a drain pump.
