They give a good daytime light, but the manufacturer has forgotten about the other end of the spectrum - they should also dim well, but they don't. The lowest dimming setting still leaves these lights fairly bright, nowhere near the advertised 10% dimming. If you are looking for dimmable lamps that can give you a night light or a candlelit dinner atmosphere, these are not for you. clueless customer service/sales rep. She encouraged lies about dimmer compatibility and I could tell from her answers that she didn't have the technical background to advise on this.
