I've tried generics before with no success. I have since learned that you need to make changes to the work settings. After finally figuring out how to do this, I found that the cartridges would work perfectly, with HP's comment that they weren't genuine! These work fine! $90 compared to $19, I thought it was worth it. Happy with the result.
