3 smallest tips are functional. They can hold enough ink before a refill is needed and they can create accurate lines. This set of pens should be satisfactory if, like me, you like to write in small letters. however, the two largest feathers are completely useless. On the two largest, they can only hold ink in two huge balls at the top and bottom just past the writing edge. If you manage to get the ink to stay in the reservoir (the small round indentation behind the vent) it will stay there and be completely useless. This results in sloppy, fuzzy lines, and you can write a maximum of two letters (yes, you read that right) before the ink runs out and needs to be refilled. The ink channel (the tiny cutout in the middle of the nib) is useless on all of these nibs. The metal is too stiff and won't bend or stretch when pressed. With a good pen, you press down and the two sides of the pen tip flex, which widens the channel and allows the ink to flow to the tip by capillary action. this does not happen to them, and if it does, then the bending is so small that it may not occur at all.
