Does not work as described

Installed on my 2001 Mercedes Benz S430 W220. He immediately turned on the brake lights without touching the brakes. It keeps the brake lights on as long as the power is on. The device itself was noticeably lighter than the OM product. I bought another one from another auto parts store and it worked the first time.
