Have one of these in hopes of building my own arcade joystick. After visiting craft and hardware stores I was a bit disappointed with the low quality and high price of what was there. I finally decided to try one of these boxes, which was risky for me as I wasn't sure about its durability and build quality. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. First, the build quality was excellent; The box was very clean, undeformed, without burrs and defects in material and workmanship. I was easily able to convert one of these into a dedicated arcade joystick for home video games and would buy more to do the same. But a word of caution: if you plan on drilling this box, do it carefully and slowly. The wood at the top and bottom is very thin and prone to cracking. When inserting screws, drill pilot holes first. If you're drilling a large hole (greater than .125"), I recommend using a step drill bit or a solid drill bit. For all other holes, use a drill bit that is in excellent condition and drill slowly. The hot glue sticks strongly to the material, which makes a... good plus for those who are modifying this box.I have to say if I had the right tools and enough space I could make a similar box for a fraction of the cost.Unfortunately in my situation this is not possible, I have to for mine Projects buy ready-made boxes, considering this is one of the best products I have found in this regard.
