Review on X ACTO Ranger Manual Pencil Sharpener by Denise Davis

I bought this for my son when his little plastic portable pencil sharpener broke last time. After seeing other reviews of other similar pencil sharpeners I decided to give it a try. The whole block is very well made. The Hackbox has a good latch that ensures a positive score when placed in the correct position. Once my son learns to twist the sharpener handle, he can go to town with all his pencils! After the 10th pencil he sharpened, he needed some rest for his sore hand. Get to work boy! The only downside I noticed was that the tips of his crayons broke off when sharpened. This may be because the "graphite" on the colored pencil can be too brittle for a reliable sharpener. I ended up having to try a different sharpener for his crayons. But given the price and durability of this pencil sharpener, I highly recommend it. for all your regular pencil sharpeners! It will probably outlive its owner! UPDATE: 4/20/20: My son twisted it too much and the handle broke off where others have complained. It was good while it lasted.
