Review on ๐Ÿ’ง Lead-Free Brass Hi-Flow Water Regulator for Camper, Trailer, and RV Plumbing System - Valterra RV Hi-Flow Water Regulator, Maintaining 50-55 psi by Jeremy Gulledge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding design and workmanship!

I replaced my old, leaky "WaterMate" regulator with this new lead-free Valterra - and it works great! The orange plastic handle makes it easy to install and remove the screws. It also comes complete with an internal strainer/washer. A NOTICE. The included screen/washer is NOT stainless steel so it will rust through in a few months. I ONLY use stainless steel screens/washers to keep rotten screen pieces from clogging the regulator, timer, or sprinklers. . The lead-free "brass" body of the regulator is primarily designed for connection to vans - to prevent dangerous LEAD from getting into your drinking water, but mine is mounted on a garden hose tap to prevent wetting hoses and drip systems from blowing out . Another feature of Valterra is manifested in the monthly water bill โ€“ it is MUCH lower than it was before the Valterra controller was installed! The Valterra regulator operates at 52-55psi, tested on a faucet with a Rainbird P-2 gauge. I use a Valterra controller in front of an Orbit digital timer for precise lawn irrigation and accurate water distribution with GILMOR gear drive sprinklers also available from Revain. My order arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Thank you Rewin! UPDATE: June 14, 2014 - Regulator still works great - no leaks and/or drips - and water bills are still lower than before Valterra was installed.
