Description of ๐Ÿ’ง Lead-Free Brass Hi-Flow Water Regulator for Camper, Trailer, and RV Plumbing System - Valterra RV Hi-Flow Water Regulator, Maintaining 50-55 psi

WATER REGULATOR: Versatile water regulator is compatible with standard campers, RV's, trailers, and more. IDEAL PRESSURE: Regulates water pressure to 50-55 psi to protect your RV's plumbing system. Does not reduce pressure when inlet pressure is below 50 psi. Not recommended for older RV's. DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: Lead-free brass design is rust-resistant and durable for years of quality use. Screened washer removes debris (Clean screened washer as needed). EASY TO USE: Attaches to the campground water spigot and reduces the water pressure that feeds through the water hose into the RV. SAFE CHOICE: Lead-free construction conforms with federal and state laws for drinking water fixtures for your family's safety.

I have mixed feelings.

OK, the water pressure was higher than other pressure regulators I've bought, but not by much. I was curious so I put on my water pressure valve and the water pressure was only 45psi. The inlet pressure was 60psi which means the regulator I received didn't deliver the 50psi stated on the packaging. Not bad but I think I'll go for an adjustable pressure regulator to better control the water pressure in my bus. I was hoping to use this and not have to worry about setting a more adjustableโ€ฆ

High blood pressure at last

After reading other reviews we settled on a device that we thought might be expensive - to our delight it works exactly as advertised. We use this to retreat. 80+ psi water pressure at our campsite. Our old Camco adjustable pressure regulator only allowed 40psi of pressure in our RV, which created moderate pressure in our faucets and, more importantly, provided our showers with a meager flow of water. After we installed the Valterra regulator, the water flows like a dream and the shower hasโ€ฆ

Excellent plumbing

I had to live in my RV for several months while waiting for my house to be built. First I bought a cheap brass gear which worked too well and the pressure was terrible. I've looked at adjustable regulators, but build quality seems to be a constant issue with them. A reviewer suggested this product as an alternative and in desperation I ordered it. And I'm glad I did. I've been using it daily for almost 3 months without any problems, the build quality is good and the printing is fine. Best ofโ€ฆ

Essential Motorhome Accessories

These devices are essential to protect your motorhome's water lines when connecting to pressurized water systems. You don't know what pressure drops can occur and there is only a limited amount of pressure your RV's plumbing system can handle. Of course you don't want the pipes in your expensive motorhome to burst. The manufacturer of my RV recommends using a pressure regulator, as do most RVs on the internet. At the time I bought these the other major brand was cheaper but I see they cost theโ€ฆ

Worked for two years.

Worked for two years, is that good or bad? For an expensive brand I thought it would last longer. I live in a mobile home for a remote job. I wanted to turn the water on after leaving for the weekend and there is no water so I diagnose the problem from the RV back to the faucet and it turns out the problem is the pressure regulator, no flow at all. I threw my backup on the faucet (Walmart bought the Campo brand), everything worked. With this brand of Valterra, the screen is still intact, notโ€ฆ

No longer confident

A few times a year I go for a long jog to get fresh water. I installed it at the very beginning and it keeps the pressure across the line at a level sufficient for my RV. I like stainless steel. I think it will last longer with time. I would prefer one with a gauge and a regulator with a gauge in case the water supply is nearby and I might want to check. I wrote the first review after purchasing this regulator 11 months ago. This regulator failed a few days ago. I quickly purchased an exactโ€ฆ

Outstanding design and workmanship!

I replaced my old, leaky "WaterMate" regulator with this new lead-free Valterra - and it works great! The orange plastic handle makes it easy to install and remove the screws. It also comes complete with an internal strainer/washer. A NOTICE. The included screen/washer is NOT stainless steel so it will rust through in a few months. I ONLY use stainless steel screens/washers to keep rotten screen pieces from clogging the regulator, timer, or sprinklers. . The lead-free "brass" body of theโ€ฆ
