Cracked socket after 4 years

Update after 4 years The pump has lived 4 years, no problems with the housing, the shaft or the impeller, but the magnet in the plastic base has suffered from the effects of salt water, CORROSION! After the water got into the plastic base and corroded the magnet, the plastic base buckled and eventually broke, causing the pump to wobble every time it was started. I tried to get a base substitute online. I can't find it anywhere, even contacted the manufacturer and they don't have it. I have two of these pumps and both had the same problem. Looks well built, very quiet, very good flow, it blasts a toadstool coral leader located 4ft from the pump so I had to reduce speed to 7. I can't tell much of a difference between some of the operating modes, but adds a more natural flow to the my aquarium. I bought it a few weeks ago so it's too early to speak about durability. I will recommend it.
