The north side of my two story home and adjacent 12 x 10 decks and stairwells were covered in dark green mold after 3 winters and spring rains, followed by an unbearably humid summer that obscured the air like a wet wool blanket . I didn't expect to achieve anything extraordinary with this product, with the hose end and given the amount of mold after so many years on this one side of my house. I was doing continuous slow passes from top to bottom, working on one side. on the other hand. I didn't wait 10 or 15 minutes for the product to dry as I figured it would last long enough when I come back to repeat my second pass. I used the side and jet spray setting for the canopies and the fan jet setting for all other areas. I found it more convenient and less cumbersome to use my garden hose and flushing nozzle. The bottle's size and weight is unwieldy and tiring when trying to aim it up 2 floors (and impossible on stairs for me). This proved to be much faster and let more water pressure through in the topmost areas. Using the same rinse spray settings I used when applying, I made several passes from top to bottom. The results far exceeded my expectations and my light gray vinyl siding was no longer the dark black and green Jackson Pollack painting. Bottle, I used the same method and spray settings to apply this to my deck and the stair riser on the 3ft deck where the mold seems to have taken root even more. While the removal results here weren't 100 percent (more like 90-95%), I think if I had used a cleaning brush and done a third pass, the result would have been the same. But as the deck is quite old and starting to look weathered I don't want to blame the product as I also used a home detergent instead of the deck detergent. This product contains bleach. Be sure to moisten surrounding vegetation before and after application. Also use safety goggles, gloves and wear OLD clothes as overspray will bleach the paint. Bleach doesn't have a strong odor and doesn't require a respirator, but you shouldn't risk getting it in your eyes. Finally, it is best to apply the product when the area is not exposed to direct sunlight. The surface stays moist longer, giving the product time to absorb. Two hours later, soaking wet and my hands hurt from moving through a 100ft garden hose (my outlet is only on one side of my house, I'll be buying and using this product myself anyway. It's inexpensive and very effective.The Rest For me, a 1800 sq ft house doesn't get the same level of mold and I'm sure one pass of another bottle will do for the remaining 3 walls This is a great solution for folks on a budget who are willing are to put in the time and effort.Highly recommended.
