We received this because it is important that the air in your home is not so dry in winter. Humidity helps keep viruses at bay, so someone suggested we get one of these to monitor the humidity levels in our home. Open it up, insert a battery and place it on the fridge or propped it up in your bedroom. With a humidifier and a pot of water on the stove, I can regulate the humidity in our home to a healthier, more comfortable level and see how it works.
