You will receive 24 sheets of paper, not 48.

The first thing you need to know about this paper is that each notebook contains 12 sheets. Not 24. I've seen sketchbooks that list page counts, but I've never bought a watercolor pad (or any other pad) that counts both sides of the paper. It is always listed in sheets as you are expected to crop/render it! I had to catch it because it says so on the cover. But it was only my fault for reading the title and description. I thought it would be a great deal for an unknown stock, but when I got half the amount I was hoping for, it wasn't such a fantastic deal. You definitely need to change the description. But enough of that, let's talk about paper. It's definitely pretty smooth. There is actually a little more texture on the back than on the front. The paper is hard and the ink doesn't penetrate like I'm used to. If you love popping colors, you'll love this paper. I actually like the paper, although the surface came off on the first try with the masking fluid. However, this has happened to other newspapers from time to time, so I'll just have to see if it happens every time. Because it would show that the binding used in the paper is not that good. The photo is in progress. You can see how rough the dog's face is. Because there the covering liquid has separated from the top layer of paper. I thought I could save it using a watercolor primer in place, but I don't think it was a great idea. The paper is hard and the ink doesn't penetrate like I'm used to.
