Unfortunately, this set did not convince me at all. I would suggest skipping this altogether and putting together your own kit from a craft store. For a decent box - the same size as other craft kits - it was frustrating to open to find a handful of markers and about 20 small sheets of paper. Let "ink" flow. He was frustratingly weak and barely showed up. Wax "cream stick" also disappointed. There are very faint colors and pigments, nothing bright. They also don't have any good tips for creating art lettering and the like that are so popular these days. Crayola really missed the mark with this set. The colors are limited and you can call it a 30 piece set. Fair enough, more than 20 of those pieces are little slips of paper. I say save your money and build your own "kit" with quality markers. There are many good brands. Crayola is perfect when it comes to crayons, markers and the like for my kids and they sometimes have a cool set or creation but this set is just a flop in my opinion.
