I purchased these straps to secure a 17ft manual deck canopy with optional privacy screen and rainbows. It is recommended that these types of awnings be set lower in high winds, but I have chosen to just leave them raised for a couple of years when the weather permits, around seven months a year. Stronger-than-normal winds lifted the awning twice that year, releasing the rainbows before they crashed onto the deck. I routed these straps to the canopy pulley and then to the wood deck with screw on clutch rings. Now it seems that this has decided all future ascension. Easy installation and easy troubleshooting.
