. Works on 1997 and 1998 C5. Wasn't sure on some forums as it doesn't have a passive input switch. Standard remotes with a passive input switch drain batteries very quickly and I was looking for an updated style found in 1999 cars. Some of them said they wouldn't work with 97 and 98, but Revane said this one would. I can confirm that. It's literally the same remote as the stock remote, minus the passive switch at the bottom. Same design, same dimensions, albeit with texture (my stock remotes were smooth). Doesn't feel very premium, definitely a late 90's GM, but it's OEM from ACDelco and works great with my 98! I will be buying a second one to replace my other standard remote!
