Works perfectly. Program yourself, it's easy.

Works. This is for a 1998 Corvette. I want people to know that programming their own remote control is EASY. I didn't know this when I first took the car to the dealer when my key fob didn't work. They took money from me for programming. Seriously, it takes a few seconds on a Corvette. Just watch a few YouTube videos and you will see. I feel a little silly for not doing my homework before paying the dealer. Buying this will save you money. Hope that helps.

  • Great price

Worked great for 2 months

I was concerned about performance because I've already bought 4 remotes which said they were compatible and they weren't. This WORKS great BUT just QUIT after 2 months - worked fine the night before and didn't do anything the next day. Bought new batteries, changed them, it doesn't matter - it's IMPOSSIBLE. It lists a 12 month warranty so we will (hopefully) return and exchange and update this review after the exchange (if the next one still works). ** The original key fobs have lasted so far…

My remotes work on my newly purchased 1998 Corvette (my weekend toy)

I originally bought these at a bargain price of $127.71 + $127.71 for two remotes for my 1998 Corvette. I was also charged $117 to program both remotes. Luckily the burglars said they couldn't program the remote control. They said they didn't have the 1998 corvette program. So I kindly asked for my full refund even though they were pissed. After falling into the dilemma, I became wiser and actively researched on the internet. I found out that with C5 corvettes you can remotely program with your

Best workmanship in keyless entry systems

I had to return the first unit I ordered due to sporadic contact. I've since received a second one that looks similar. Not sure what it is but I can be near the car and try to unlock it and it won't happen the first time but if I press again. I come to the conclusion that there is only Taiwanese workmanship here. I think you have to press hard for it to work. I'll try again, but for $93 I won't wait long for the 8/2/19 update. Not satisfied with the intermittent operation of this product. I…

definitely late 90's GM but it's an ACDelco OEM and it works fine with my 98

. Works on 1997 and 1998 C5. Wasn't sure on some forums as it doesn't have a passive input switch. Standard remotes with a passive input switch drain batteries very quickly and I was looking for an updated style found in 1999 cars. Some of them said they wouldn't work with 97 and 98, but Revane said this one would. I can confirm that. It's literally the same remote as the stock remote, minus the passive switch at the bottom. Same design, same dimensions, albeit with texture (my stock remotes…

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers

It's not working properly.

After I reprogrammed my car to recognize this new key fob along with the car's original key fob, this new key fob only worked for about three days, after which doors opened and Trunk not of the car, although the other (original) fob still worked I reprogrammed the car again to recognize both this and the original fob and again this new fob only worked for 2 days when it did the Car doors didn't open or trunk again (and again the original key fob continued to work correctly). This is only the…

Worked for a week: Anti-theft

I was happy to get the remote back after some waiting as early model C5 remotes were quite expensive. I received this remote quickly and it worked fine initially. Then, just a few days later, the remote wouldn't close or open the doors on the first click. Then a week later it stopped working completely. I checked it with my remote tester and it showed no signal from the remote so I checked the battery in it and it was fully charged. I take it back and still nothing. To make sure my tester was…

Needs regular reprogramming

Easy to program and fit to the car, just follow the instructions in the manual which you can find online if you don't have a printed copy. After receiving one and seeing that it worked well, I ordered a second one. If you have already associated one with a car and a second, the car will take it into account first, as you will see on the display. It will say the first match is FOB when in fact it is the second. So if you have two, you have to program them at the same time. In my case, I…
