Review on 🍲 Enhanced Good Grips Stainless Steel Steamer with Extendable Handle by OXO by Keith Howe

I had high hopes for this as I have been a fan of OXO products for many years. I liked the idea of a retractable handle that could be raised with a fork and legs that could be folded down for easy storage. But this one disappointed me. First, this retractable handle is very rigid. I had to fumble to open it. I certainly don't want to fight that when the steamer is full of hot food that could splatter! Second, it was obviously very cheaply made. Usually, metal steamer baskets are darned a bit to get the edges of all those holes out. Running my fingers over the holes in the basket all I found were sharp edges. It is not comfortable at all and it will be bearish to clean it - it will tear the sponge. It can be washed in the dishwasher, but I don't have a dishwasher. All in all I don't think it's worth the price.
