🍲 Enhanced Good Grips Stainless Steel Steamer with Extendable Handle by OXO Review

Hello OXO, Was a loyal OXO brand user and was recently disappointed with this product. We cook quite a lot of vegetables and used this steel food steamer. When the vegetables are steamed, turn off the heat while there is still water at the bottom of the pot and the lid covering it. The safety handle has melted! Please advise.

I had a cheaper vape for about 15 years and eventually the "blades" started to pop out; So I did a little research and bought this one because it was supposed to be the best. It broke in less than a year of use (less than once a week). The middle spindle is unscrewed (the lower part fell off) and it is impossible to put it back on. So now he has no pen. Very sad.

I only bought this 2 years ago and have watched it slowly rust after each use. Then it became difficult to screw the handle back into the base until now where it broke off and can't be screwed back at all. It shouldn't rust at all as it's supposed to be stainless steel and the overall quality/durability isn't good enough. I usually like OXO brand products but this was a failure. It's time to look for a new brand.

I love all of our OXO kitchen gadgets except this steamer. First, the black plastic handle melted. (It says you can leave it on while steaming. Okay, the steamer still works, but less than a month later 2 of the 3 legs on the bottom broke. They no longer stay in place to hold the steamer on the floor .I have only hand washed the steamer and definitely don't handle it roughly.It's a really terrible quality.Be aware.

I ordered this from Revain because a friend has a steamer and I really need a steamer especially with a toddler who is starting to eat solid foods! So I ordered this one and was surprised when I opened it that it looked flimsy to me. Cooking again with my girlfriend and seeing her, I saw that hers and mine are of very different quality! I liked the idea of a retractable handle that could be raised with a fork and legs that could be folded down for easy storage. But this one disappointed me. First, this retractable handle is very rigid. I had to fumble to open it. I certainly don't want to fight that when the steamer is full of hot food that could splatter!
