The T ruler was square but the holes are not square when you flip the device to make another door. The holes would not be the same height and would not be vertical. I believe part of the problem is the side edge stop, it doesn't seem to line up with the ruler. I messed up the first door I made, I had to adjust it to get the rest of the doors close enough and spend a lot of extra time making pencil marks on each door to make sure it was square, that takes all my mind off why i bought this device! This unit was misaligned by about 1/16th but when you flip it over it makes the error worse so it was misaligned by about 1/8th which is definitely noticeable and I had to fix a couple of the handles by drilling the holes made it bigger in the door so I could readjust the handles to plumb. Too much play in the jig holes can also cause accuracy issues, they are much larger than the included drill bit. I adjusted my technique to place the chisel at the bottom of the hole as I drill the holes so my chisel is in the same place every time. I figured I'd save some money on an expensive light on Amazon as I only needed it for a job, do yourself a favor and pay the extra $100 and get a quality light.
