Removing the original Y-tube was smooth and fairly easy (I ordered the suggested removal tools, they worked better than a screwdriver). When installing the XDP pipe, I used the clamps that came with it. On a smaller diameter hose, the clamp was not installed properly, not perfectly square to the hose and subsequent assembly. With a machined XDP tube, there is virtually no clearance with respect to the collar. Adjusting the clamp stopped the flow (indeed dripping). A week after installation I had to drive 3000 km, no breakage, no leaks.
