Review on Handheld Anchor Bottle Opener Nantucket by Brittany Wallace

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A unique and great addition to your nautical theme.

This anchored bottle opener is perfect if like my wife you like a nautical theme. We live in the coastal region and she does nautical things. Anything she sees in nautical style can complement our desired decor. When I saw this anchored bottle opener I thought it would be great for our front porch bar. There is an old pulley and a few other items related to the theme. The opener is good. It looks like there's some handwork in there. Perhaps it will be cast first and then finished by hand. I say this because the opening portion is not perfectly centered and does not appear to be perfectly level. There is nothing wrong with that, because handmade products have a character that mass-produced products do not have. For example, the front of the anchor isn't entirely smooth, there are a few small areas with little texture. At the back, one of the attachment points is slightly flattened. Not bad either, which makes everyone unique. Mine is similar to the photo but not identical. I don't notice any sharp edges and it's as easy to use as any bottle opener. It has some weight but not too much - just under 2 ounces. I received this item at a discount in exchange for an unbiased review.
