This is the correct dust extractor replacement part for DWS779. Many drawings have another part that is wrong. There are no instructions, but there really is only one way. There are two screws holding it in place but not actually connecting to the part. One on the side and the other behind him on the main axis. The last screw holds a small metal leaf spring that runs under the piece. Be sure to mark the orientation of the bend when removing the broken part so you can install the new one the same way.
