I've had a few pairs of Brooks (mainly the Ghost series) but recently got hooked for the first time. I've had two achilles tendon surgeries on my left ankle and always feel tenderness above the heel in the area of the achilles tendon. The dependency is GREAT as the inner heel of the boot sits a little high (with good cushioning) so the outer back of the boot sits lower on my ankle and doesn't put pressure on the Achilles area. I'm always looking for comfortable shoes for my Achilles heel, this is the right one! I recommend those who are experiencing pain or tenderness in their Achilles tendon to try these.
