Of course you can't use a wide angle lens for everything, but this lens is very versatile and interesting. I'm amazed at how close you can get to your subject and still be able to focus the lens. Focusing is fast and accurate, vignetting isn't bad in my opinion, even at f/1.8 it seems amazing. The image sharpness is very good. The aperture ring works great with a switch to toggle the latch on and off. This lens has no stabilization, but do you need camera stabilization at all? I'll add that in a few days. I like the different perspectives you get with this lens. It amazes me how close I have to get to what I'm photographing to get the proportions right. Since I've been shooting some large outdoor sculptures lately, this lens has gotten closer and more personal. It should be great for real estate, abstract objects, landscapes and scenery as you can get as much of what you're shooting into the lens while still staying close enough. As a side note, I just checked and the lens correction file is already loaded. in Lightroom for this lens. It hasn't appeared in Photoshop yet, but I suspect they will add it in an update very soon.
